The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy by Douglad Adams

They rereleased this in paperback to coincide with the movie release and my Mum bought it for me for a gift. She's a massive fan of the books and the original TV series. Adams' world is completely crazy and that is why it's so brilliant, particularly Marvin, the depressed robot.
