This didn't feel like a love story.

When I first picked up this book in January I read the first chapter and put it down, a permanent DNF. I don't know why but I decided to give the book another chance and...

Although this book wasn't BAD, it just felt unimpressive to me.
I was constantly bothered by the main character, and this never changed, actually he was the WORST. I was only ever rooting for Ira, and only ever cared about him and his development- I finished this book for his sake. I wanted him to have a happy ending!

I was getting a little irritated by the overuse of certain phrases, eg "Lucy", "Inevitable" etc; the writing of this book just didn't strike me. It was an easy read, so if you're wanting a book that's quick and easy to read- this might be for you.

I can't recommend this book as I think there are other books that do what this book is trying to do; but better- and with more depth. This book unfortunately just fell short for me.

I don't think Gayle Forman has written a book I haven't loved. The way she rights makes you feel so connected to each character, yearning to learn more of them, and hoping they find their happy ever after. We are inevitable isn't your typical love story, but there is so much love within these pages. I know this is one I'll reread

Books and a bookstore? Yes, please. But the book is so much more than that. Witty, charming, heartbreaking. Characters you can’t help but love even with their flaws. The book made me feel hopeful - the book version of Ted Lasso.

This book totally had the standard Hallmark Christmas movie vibe. It felt like a standard cliché that makes for a lovely tickling positive outlook during long wintery evenings.
I was really happy with Chad's character though. A disabled person, he shows a lot of growth and finds peace by supporting others. I would love a book with him as a main character.
