“What’s your lyric,” she says, watching me in the mirror. “Your lyric for right now?”

This book broke me! I think I cried more than in any other book I’ve previously heard. So much heartbreak, so much love, so much living is enclosed in this book. And yet, it’s very positive, there’s no rancor, only love and best wishes for the one they love.

Andi and Jace met in Central Park, one day Jace was busking with his brothers and friends, then bullies from his school came and thrashed him. Andi came to his rescue, ran the bullies away and they became best friends on that day, just because Andi declared it.

Jace’s parents died years ago, and his older brother Dean is raising him and his brother River. They are all musical prodigies, they play to raise money for food. But they have ambitions to play for the world, to help people with their music. Andi immediately attached to them, and follows them to their house, to their practices and to their gigs.

Andi is really Andrea Leighton-Hughes, daughter of a mega billionaire who lives in the top four floors of The Tower, a building that is decadently and ridiculously decorated. In spite of her riches, she’s lonely and loveless, since her mother ignores her and her father only sees his children as tools for machinations for his prestige and reputation. Only with Andi does she feel seen and appreciated.

Their story is turbulent, charged with emotions, and doomed by the disapproval of Jace’s big brother who sees Andi as a hindrance. They are torn apart more than once, by tragic events out of their control. What is extraordinary is that the love is always present, and there is no regret, no hate, no anger. Only love and the sadness that they are not together.

“I send her all my love, I send her my wishes for happiness, and this time around, if she hears me singing, I hope she feels only joy.”

It’s an emotional rollercoaster, narrated in beautiful prose and detailed descriptions, full of beautiful characters and not so beautiful characters. I was enthralled throughout the whole book!

I LOVED this book and the narrators were great! The characters developed as the story progressed and I loved the main characters! This is a story about two young people falling in love but they are from two different walks of life. They meet by chance in Central Park and the connection is there from the beginning.

This book had it all- love, happiness, sorry, devastation, hope and closure throughout the entire book. This is my first book by the author and I will definitely be reading more! I have found a new author!

"What happens when two people promise forever, but life tears them apart? What happens in the time they aren't together-the space between?"

The Space Between by Sarah Ready is a masterpiece of a novel about true love, and those times when it is not enough. Jace and Andy's love journey is a whirlwind of emotions, it is beautiful and heartbreaking. From the first time they meet, it is fate-the kind that means they are meant together, but life and the ones we love have a way of getting in the way sometimes. This is their love and life story.

This book absolutely destroyed me in the best of ways! Be warned, you will cry. I felt all of the emotions in this one. I cannot express how stellar of a human Andrea is. Sarah Ready managed to hook me from the very beginning and will forever forward be an autoread for me. If you enjoy emotionally wrought epic love sagas full of betrayal, lies, hardship, forgiveness and so much love, then hurry up and read this book. Words do not adequately describe how good this story is.

If you are looking for a book with a lot of steam, then you may not like this one. That said, I thought it had some of the best romantic scenes I have ever read. Other than that, I cannot think of a single reason to not read this book.

The Space Between is one of my top reads of the year, if not the top. I loved it so much that I went and started to download anything and everything Sarah Ready has ever written. Thank you so much to the publisher and Netgalley for giving me the honor to read an ARC of this!

This was my first book from the author and this! This book was an emotional rollercoaster of book about first love and soul mates. Jace and Andrea, who come from different worlds, they meet when they are 17.

She is from an extremely wealthy family. But she acts differently at evening. Jace is poor, and has a scholarship to a good high school. His parents were shot in a robbery and his older brother put his life plans on hold to keep the family together. The brothers play music in the park and dream to become famous.

The story is told from both POV’s but there is a stronger focus on Andi. Andi is so willing to give up everything for love. She is smart and never truly breaks from all that is put on her. And I really like how the way the book ended.

Definitely my favorite book by Sarah Ready! She really dove deep with this one. While I've enjoyed the romcoms I've read this was a superstar! This book made me feel loads of emotions. I was so mad but then I realized I didn't stay mad. It made me feel happy too. The characters were just so well written. It was just a great book! I switched between the kindle version and the audio and just loved both. The narration was my favorite. All of Sarah's audiobooks have been winners in this area! This book comes out July 25th and I can't recommend it enough.

I absolutely adore Sarah Ready's writing style - it's full of emotion while also maintaining a light and warm feel. I expected this to be a fluffy romance, but it wound up being so much more!

Thoughts:
-I loved Jace's dynamic with his brothers and the rest of the band and how they all let the morals of Jace’s parent's live on through them
-Andrea was just a solid character. She was technically a cliché rich girl running away with a "bad boy,” but she felt like much more than that. She had substance and heart throughout the entire book
-The emotion between Andrea and Jace was such a rollercoaster. At times it was fun, young love, while other times, it felt bigger than them. But in both extremes, it was beautifully written
-Ready crafted a compelling story of two soulmates with a lot of trauma being brought together only to be torn apart and forced to find their way back to each other
-The twists toward the end made me unsure how it was going to end but as always Ready wrapped things up beautifully

This was a beautiful story of love, grief, and forgiveness. I highly recommend picking this one up.

Thank you Sarah Ready, W. W. Crown, and Netgalley for a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review!

I cannot put into words how much this book means to me. (proceeds to attempt anyway) Sarah Ready is one of THE best authors out there and deserves the whole damn world.

The scenes are still so vivid in my mind I can still hear and see everything. Sarah put a great deal of thought into each character in the story which is evident even ten percent in. Nope not a single character taken for granted, amazing back stories and all put together.

Jace and Andrea are supposed to be the main characters, but the way I see it, Andrea holds most of the spotlight throughout. The story is divided into three parts- Jace and Andrea in young love, their seperation, and finally their reunion.

The most significant trope in the story which was used brilliantly was the love triangle. I really can't reveal much but it's just so unique and beautiful it transports you into its own world and moves you to tears.

These narrators are just so precious. James Fouhey and Rachel Hirsch were just brilliant voicing Jace and Andy respectively alongwith the side cast.

I can only request you to read this book, and trust me, it will the best thing to happen to your day. So much live to you Sarah, you deserve every beautiful thing in the universe.

First things first, I cried at work listening to this. I read French Holiday by Sarah Ready earlier in the year and it was silly, lighthearted, and funny. This was none of those things and I freaking love it for it.

Andrea is NYC elite and hates how shallow and cruel everything is. She meets Jace in the park after he's been jumped by rich kids from school. He's an extremely talented musician who is just getting by and she's charmed by the genuine connection they have. They fall into love over the next few months and it was nice to see how hard they were trying. After some machinations against them, they spend the next 8 years without word from the other. She goes back to NYC society and he makes it big as a musician.

*Now, this part is complete spoilers so proceed with caution*

SpoilerBut holy crap I was not expecting Reid to be my favorite part of this book. He's arrogant and smarmy in the beginning but the growth he goes through in the book was stunning. Their wedding night cracked me up and I was grinning at their friendship as they moved through life together. The gentle love he showed her with absolutely no expectation of getting love in return hurt me deeply. I cried as his storyline was wrapping up.

After all of that, she finds Jace again exactly when she's supposed to and it was lovely. There wasn't any bitterness for the time that passed or their circumstances, just gratitude. And I'm grateful I got to read it.

Thank you to Netgalley for a copy in exchange for an honest review. My opinions are my own.
