I'm not sure exactly how I feel other than general malaise. This is not the fault of Andrew Yang, just how I feel about the future of the US. The problems that Yang lays out are valid and depressing. Depressing, because even when Yang proposes solutions, they honestly don't feel possible. The government just feels so immobile and inflexible, while also being highly incentivized to remain so. You would need many people to run for office who are selfless enough to remove the carrot of money and power to enact change. Those people either don't run for office or get ground up in machine before having any power. I don't think it was Yang's purpose to be a downer. He is clearly trying to make a case for the need of the Forward Party. Unfortunately, I still remain a skeptic.
