The poem fragment itself gets 5 out of 5. The various explanations drag down the rating. However, the summary of Arthur's death in different traditions was interesting and made Tolkien's fragment even more impressive.

Poem is nice, the rest of the book not so much interested in. You know if Christopher Tolkien actually finished the poem it would make it 1000% better. Not you know have 200 pages of info that I really don't need.

It was hard to read for me. I didn't realize that it was mostly an in-depth study on why C.S. Lewis wrote the poem, and from what he pulled inspiration from. It was not for me.
