I finished this book in 2-3 hours! It was heartbreaking at the end, I was trying not to cry

A quick informative snack book. I love finding snack books or rather short books I read when I'm in a slump. This book jumps from during the war to after the war and is the diary kept by one rose rabinowitz after the war. The diary was kept to help her sift through the trauma in the war days. She settled in Winnipeg Canada after the war and began to try to mend her broken heart. I believe my favorite part has to be the epilogue that showed she did have a happily ever after she created a family in more ways than one and helped to keep history even though it was so hard for her to do.

I loved that this is a story about the Holocaust that isn't set in a concentration camp - it was really interesting to see a different aspect of the experience.
