This is a fantastic book. I thought it was going to be more like an autobiography but it wasn't. It was really a collection of short essays about her life experience on things like, loss, work and her love of animals. This is a nice easy read and I finished it in about two hours. If you love Betty White, this is a must read.

An easy read comprised of small blurbs by Betty White. Each blurb reads much like a blog post. In fact, think of this book as exactly that, a blog written in long hand on a preselected set of topics. Betty comes across as warm, her stories are sweet and her love for animals is inspiring. Unfortunately, the blurbs are so short we get no more than those fleeting impressions.

Read when you are looking for pure fluff to kill a couple of hours.

Super quick read, very short. But, it's Betty White, how can you not love her? She is even the reader for the audiobook version so it's like she is personally telling you each of the stories.

The best part of this book was the audiobook - it's hearing Betty in her own voice. It reads like a grandmother telling the grandkids the story of her life. It's very comforting and sweet. Albeit a bit glossy on the details.

I listened to the audiobook of this (read by Betty!) which was only 2 hours long so I am guessing that the actual physical book is like... 150 pages?

Anyway, this book is basically just an amalgamation of like 75 4-sentence paragraphs of Betty just saying things. It's kind of stream of conciousness-esque without any real structure of substance.

And it slayed!

Betty White is such a gem. She wrote this book in 2011 and had such nuggets of joy and wisdom (to think she lived another 10 years!) Her passion for animals is evident. Was surprised at a few off-color /racist comments though. 4.25/5 stars
