I wanted to like this book, it started off so good! He was an epic possessive alpha male asshole just the way I like them however he shared her with another man and that is not my jam. For someone so possessive and “she’s mine” cave man attitude, I was turned off that he shared her for “her” pleasure. No possessive caveman I’ve read about shares their woman. If you don’t care about that then I think you’d really enjoy it but it’s a no for me. Anyways I DNF.

It was fun. Lately, I haven't been enjoying smut, but in this book I did. Those scenes were hot and the passion and chemistry between the characters made it all even better. However, I felt a bit lost in the beginning. I felt like I should have read the previous book so I could understand everything even better. And to appreciate the cameos of the other characters.
Other than that, it was a good and entertaining book, but it wasn't that phenomenal.
I do recommend to read the trigger warnings since the book deals and mentions with some dark themes such as addictions.
I'm still looking forward to reading the rest of the books in this series tho.

1.5 stars at max.
Typical rich mafia/CEO type of romance with no plot. Honestly, I was excited to read this because it had a 4.11 rating when I found it. I thought it would be good but no. Cade is a PASS for me. His possessiveness and 'growling' is not attractive. Him hacking into her devices is not normal. The nickname "dollface" and "Harley Quinn" made me cringe like why would somebody call their gf Harley Quinn???? It felt so slow-paced and it was annoying how both the characters were so stubborn.

Also if you're going to write a story with characters working in the IT sector then please do some research and don't go overboard. Both the characters are hacking devices 24/7 like the other developers have no skill whatsoever.

I’m unsure what the fuck I just read. Like it wasn’t a bad book, but it was one of those “the main characters desperately need therapy” books and I say that knowing full well it was going to be like that. I think it felt like amateur writing that tried to be deep? It was close but missed the mark in ways that I can’t really express. As if someone wrote about a toxic love, but hasn’t ever been in a toxic relationship. It reads like it’s an early book in the writers career but I’m not sure if it is.

DNF almost immediately. Could not follow, and the writing was just cringe. Felt like I was reading a bad fanfic
