Well written and engaging, but I would have liked to know more about the sources used than a page long author's note.

Absolutely loved this book. Learned a lot about what was going on in the background during Sega's rise to fame in the 90s behind the blazing speed of Sonic the Hedgehog. Gotta go fast!

The animosity between how Nintendo and Sega over how Sega marketed the Genesis was fascinating to read about, as was the development process of some of my favorite Sega and Nintendo games.

Definitely recommend this book to anybody who grew up playing video games in the 90s or loves video games.

Interesting topic, but the supposed dialogue is so cringey. I could see this being a mini series or something but it needs some punching up real bad.
