okay i hated about 90% of this book but i really enjoyed the last story and Air Supply was enjoyable as well so i'm giving it 2 stars. i feel like most of the stories were exactly the same and most of the women in it were one dimensional and uninteresting. like i think the author's goals was to like challenge the patriarchy but it just felt more like she was endorsing stereotypes. i just feel like i have no need for media that is this intensely nihilistic and i don't feel like she made any exciting points. last story was good though.

Another great book by Lisa Taddeo.

Taddeo has a way of perfectly depicting female friendships, sisterhood, heartbreak, and male desire as perceived by women.

Every single story left me wishing they had their own book.
My favorites were Air Supply and A Suburban Weekend.

Needless to say, I can’t wait to read more of Taddeo’s work.

i was excited to read this because i loved three women for its empathic and artful approach to dissecting female desire, but almost all the short stories in ghost lovers could have been summed up with “young women are terrible and men don’t wanna have sex with me.”
