This turned out rather delightful. There is a lot of action in this UF with some really nasty bad guys that need butt kickings!

Tessa is a werewolf but she can't shift, or so her pack think because if they knew the truth, they'd kill her. But the truth finds always a ways out, and before she is killed, Tristan Masters from a rival werewolf pack saves her, and now he owns her life. The two don't get along, especially because Tessa has only heard terrible things about him, but spending time together and with his pack brings to light the real Tristan and the real reason why he saved her.

The book ends on a cliffy, but I need to know ASAP if Tessa finds her way back.

***I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.***

This was the first book I have read by Everly Frost and it was fabulous! Sometimes you never know what you are getting into when reading a new author. Everly Frost did not disappoint and left me with one huge book hangover. I was so not prepared for this book. Lets just say, nothing else has compared since I read this book!

I am hopelessly in love with Tristian! He swooped in and stole my heart with his Alpha Male, and hot and cold vibes. Tessa is a very unique wolf and I cannot wait to learn more. Her an Tristian have this connection right from the start and it just keeps growing.

There is so much more going on than we have learned. This book left me with so many questions unanswered. I cannot wait to find out what happens in the next book in this series.

So I needed a few days to think before reviewing. Firstly the more Everly writes the better she gets. With each new series I find myself exclaiming, “No this is my favorite of hers!” This was no different, this is my new favorite. Haha

I’m definitely a fan of shifters and I loved this take on Tessa being born with a wolf but not sharing a wolf soul. I’ve not really read anything with this type of shifter ‘bond’. Secondly, the alpha males in this are hot, I love Tristan but I’m also intrigued with Jace and Cody and hope they get more time as a secondary character and we get to know them more. Third, I didn’t pinpoint our villain until the last chapter. I was thrown predicting it to be someone else.

I’m anxiously awaiting the next one. If you love shifters and fantasy, strong leads, and intriguing plot lines, this is the book for you!

Strength and weakness

Tessa is amazing. She has so much strength and learns to accept her weaknesses and compensate for them. The last couple revelations blew my mind. I do love the idea of a refuge where women can heal from their experiences - and choose to grow from it or have a safe haven.

Well, shit.

Last night I was really in the mood for a shifter book. Wolf to be specific. So, when I came across This Dark Wolf, well, I didn't really hesitate to jump into it. A couple of chapters later and I was completely hooked. The characters themselves are very interesting and have lots of dark secrets. Then there's danger basically lurking around every dark corner as well. On top of all that, we have so many betrayals, twists, and people to look out for.

Seriously, so many people to watch out for and I'm completely surprised with how this ended. I still don't think a certain someone is the three headed wolf but that's because I need more information about it. Maybe the sequel will dive into that. I'm also hoping she somehow gets away from this white wolf with red eyes guy because he gives me the creeps. So, do the frost giants.

Other than that, I'm not really holding my breath with this deal. I think it will somehow be revealed that Ella is alive and what exactly happened to her too. Or maybe I'm just hoping to get all that information.

In the end, I have so many questions and I need to jump into the sequel now. These two need to reunite because if they don't, I will cry.

So I don’t know. I like the characters and the story compels you along. But it’s so sad and it ends on a cliffhanger. It’s just terrible. So sad. And so much pain for everyone.

And at the core is a society that encourages violence against women. It’s an obvious critique of our own society. And she does that well. But it leaves little to no room for hope.
