hank green is making a lot harder for me to have a cynical girl summer but counting the multiple pararell naratives, really well-established main characters, anti-humanitarian crimes, car chasings, near murders, interesting recourring side characters, a resurrection, mysterious rock hunting and a compelling study of the complex relationship between morality and power in the late-staged, globolly polorized captalist society; it was very fun, insightful and hopefull summer, i guess.

DNF at 25%. I couldn’t get into it. The characters are mostly deeply unlikable, every time you get involved in one story, the narrator changes and you lose what was happening before the switch. The first one was so much better. I think he was trying to tell too many stories at once.

The first book was great, but this one was kinda mid. It was fun, but there was just a lot of things happening and it really went off the rails from the first book. Still great read, but book 1 is the stronger of the two.
