After the somewhat slow first half, in which the main character spends a little too much time for my liking being sulky and impulsive, the second half of the book is action-packed and entertaining. The plots, characters, and politics of the series are finally starting to shape up, and while I don't love this series, I'm interested enough to see where it goes, especially when I'm in need of some de-stressing fantasy reading.

I thought [b:Sworn to Raise|16061083|Sworn to Raise (Courtlight #1)|Terah Edun|https://d.gr-assets.com/books/1363035617s/16061083.jpg|21848801] was much better. Let's see if the third one improves.

This is an Overall Series Review

I got these books from the author, free of cost, in exchange of an honest review from my side.

Firstly I would like to thank the author and the tour organizers for giving me this opportunity of reading and reviewing this series.

Great characterization and well execution of concept. I also liked the plot very much and the good writing of the author connected me well with the story line. There are some grammatical mistakes and typos but other than that I liked the concept very much. The typos and the errors were well edited in the nest two installments.

Ciardis is a strong female lead and I adored her and loved her the most compared to the other characters. She is a kick-ass heroine and her character kept on developing and touching new heights of magnificence through out the entire series.

The world that the author created is awesome and the inclusion of each and every tiny details of the Royal lifestyle, their ruling and the other important things belonging to that era made this read an intriguing one for me.

There is action, adventure, suspense, mystery and passionate romance as well. Some of the back-stabbers were hard to believe and I was just stunned when those treacherous persons were revealed. There is betrayals, test of loyalty and dedication, the responsibility for ones duty and so much emotion. All these will bind you to the story and you wouldn't want to step out of the fascinating and magical world that the author created here.

A must read for all and don't forget to read the books in the order in which they are published. I'm anxiously waiting for book 4 - Sworn to Secrecy which will release on February 28, 2014!!!

Overall Series Rating: 4 Stars

Gah, how did I go so long without reading this book? So great, so awesome, and I enjoyed it so much! I do have questions (like what was let out of the Princess Heir's trap) but oh, man, that cliffhanger ending! Now I need the next book!

This is quickly becoming this year's series that I don't particularly love, but it's good enough to keep me interested. Despite the crummy writing and plot holes, Sworn to Transfer did keep the pages turning fast enough. It's a fast read and an interesting premise, but I keep getting distracted by a few minor problems. On the other hand, we finally see some growth from the characters (however small) and some previously shunned characters are given new life in this book, which made it worth it to read. I've already checked out the next book in the series, so I can't say I hate it though! A solid two-stars from me.

Sworn to Transfer is second book in Courtlight series.

What she did for the Prince has backfired in a way, she is more than one kill list. The is something horrible going on in The Ameles Forest, people and other creatures are dying.

I have to say, I liked the first one a bit more. There was a lot more interaction with Sebastian, here there was very little. I loved their banter, but now it feels like the friendship is dissolving. The is a lot going on in the book, a lot happens and there is a lot left unanswered.

A great second book which leaves you searching for book 3 immediately!
This continuation of Ciardis' adventures takes an ominous turn here with a dark shadowy enemy to battle. The scope of the story reaches outside the confines of the palace to epic proportions.
A great mix of magic, humour, touchingly emotional moments, and even made me tearful!

I am enjoying the plot a lot more, and the author's pace is getting better, the grammar is still atrocious, and the characters aren't always consistent.

Meh. I would have like to have seen more character growth. Also, plot lines seemed to just disappear and never get wrapped up.
