Difficult to follow; the plot change was confusing; also very triggering as someone who worked Covid. I wish I had known the story content before reading.

I am a big Jodi Picoult fan which was why I picked up this book.

The first section of the book was enjoyable, if a little 'Eat Pray Love' however the second half really threw me!

I did not see the lucid dream reveal coming and, much like the main character,  I was more interested in getting back to the island than seeing the aftermath of COVID

I've always been intrigued by the way Picoult writes mothers as martyrs so it has been interesting to see her change up this narrative.

This was good! I love Jodi so I knew I was going to enjoy this. She just writes such unique stories with real life things that make you think. There’s a twist in this that I didn’t see coming and I don’t know if I actually liked it or the ending to be honest. Diana actually frustrated me and she just felt kind of selfish the whole book. I appreciated Jodi adding Finn and him talking about Covid and how horrible it was. This was also a little triggering so trigger warning for self harm, which the topic was done well. I liked learning more about the island and art as well. I think of you enjoy her books you’ll enjoy this one, it is a little different from her other books because there’s not multiple perspectives and opinions which I’ve come to know her for, which isn’t a bad thing just different.

This book will mess you up and set you back again like Evermore by Taylor Swift. Do not plan anything after hour five.

Constant F-bombs. More woke commentary on Covid than a story.

OMG that ending. It ended on a cliffhanger that I want to be continued.. but also I love that it was left to the reader to decide what it meant.

I started this book because Jodi told me to on TikTok, and knew nothing about it when I started it. I soon realized it takes place during the pandemic of 2020 and the way it was written absolutely drew me back into the time of quarantine, isolation, and the unknown.

The plot twist threw me for a loop but I loved this entire story and how everything played out. There hasn’t been a Jodi Picoult book yet that I haven’t loved.
