I could not put this down. So many emotions reading this. I’ll have to take a break before I start the Ethic series.

WOW

Wtf now this book surprised me I wasn’t expecting for raven to die like that from how there was different flashbacks of her. Now this was a good read something you didn’t see coming. Glad Mizan finally got his karma from ethic.

Alrighty then. This is not my cup of tea, I haven't read a book like this in a really long time. Reading this book I have to give 1000% credit to one of my book clubs. Without book club I wouldn't have picked it up. It was a fast read, but there are definitely lots of problematic things going on in the story. If you have triggers, this book will definitely set several of them off. I came across a few grammatical and spelling errors, but I tried to set that aside for the sake of getting into the story.

Raven is not the kind of character I can relate to on any level. That made the story both interesting and annoying at the same time. All of the characters I kind of put in that same category. I could not understand the motivations of anyone outside of doing it for the money and control. The characters weren't very nuanced, it was all about power and money.

I understand that Ethic is the main character in another series by Ashley Antoinette, but honestly, I don't desire to know anything more about this world. It's not a bad book, it's just that the content isn't for me right now.

If you enjoy street lit, then this will be right up your alley. With all of that said, if you take this book for what it is, it might entertain you for a few hours on a lazy weekend. I anticipate an interesting book club discussion if nothing else.
