This manga reminded me so much of Nabi Kabata's My Lesbian Experience with Lonliness, which is also about a 30 something struggling with sexuality and loneliness. It seems to be a universal experience for so many gender queer marginalized folks to go through a crushing sense of loneliness for periods of your life. I think this manga gave a unique perspective of someone that identifies as x gendered and how different their feelings are towards sexuality, relationships, and companionship. It really felt like reading a diary excerpt, especially towards the end which I believe was written at the height of the pandemic. Something else I appreciated was the diagram panel by panel descriptions of how periods function, I never see descriptions that are so matter of fact so that was refreshing (loved the surprise ace representation of not feeling any attachment to a uterus since the author has no plans for any sexual or pregnancy situations, so real for that). I would absolutely recommend this manga and I'm eagerly looking forward to the next volume.
