serviceable batman tales

3.5 stars, not outstanding but decent. This reminded me of a less psychotic version of Cooke's Batman: Ego looking more at Bruce Wayne and the cost(?) of being Batman with three stories that look at love, fatherhood/family (more of a focus on Jim Gordon), and legacy.

This title includes three Batman novella length Batman stories all set during Halloween. This enjoyable light fare led to the longer Batman opus The Long Halloween.

2/3 stories are superb, the first one honestly didn't made any sense.

Actual rating: 3.5/5.

Another good entry by Loeb & Sale, but just didn't quite reach the heights of Long Halloween or Dark Victory.
