*sigh* I both loved and hated this book so intensely at parts.. I loved the separation between then and now and I wasn’t sure how I felt at first but now I know it’s 100% necessary. It’s such a beautiful take on marriage and it’s challenges and it’s beautiful parts. And being newly wed it makes me appreciate it even more. 100% would recommend if you’re going through a rough patch with your partner. It can open up a lot of conversations and even if you’re not, it can lead to a lot of hypotheticals you might not have even talked about had it not been for this book.

My first Colleen Hoover book and I wasn't a fan. I didn't hate this book so much as it was just so freaking basic. Very little depth to the characters, which is interesting since most of the book was inside the main character's head. It's like we heard her thoughts more than knew her mind. Don't get me wrong, it had some great moments (the box of letters, the quote from the fortune cookie which gave the book its title), but it drastically lacked depth for the other 90% of the book. I will read Verity because everyone raves over it, but otherwise I probably won't read anything else by CH.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Wow. Just wow. I loved this book with my whole heart. Quinn and Graham were amazing characters, so well written. I felt like I knew them and I was experiencing their struggles with them. It explored infertility in such depth, which made it incredibly moving. I’m so excited to read ‘Finding Perfect’ next which includes characters from this and the Hopeless series.
