I wanted to love this book after reading The Guest List, but this one just didn’t do it for me. Not all bad, but not all that interesting either. It was quite similar to The Guest List, but—as one reviewer said—not as fun. If I were to recommend one over the other: definitely The Guest List!

This was brilliant. I didn’t guess the twist and the Scottish landscape was described perfectly. This is a great book to read in a shadowy room with blankets and a cup of something warm and delicious.

This had so much potential but was soooo slow - I wish it was better!

Not terrible, but verrrry similar to her other book “The Guest List”. Felt like I was reading the same book with slightly different characters and setting. Also feel like I still had some unanswered questions at the end - it felt like it all really dragged out until the end and then it sped through the last part when really that part is what should’ve been the most drawn out. Probably won’t be reading any more of her stuff- wasn’t bad but wasn’t my cup of tea.

An easy, entertaining, Agatha Christie type murder mystery.

I try to save five stars for the books that stay with me, so I’ll say this is a strong four. I really liked it. I’m not going to think about it all the time or have it in a top ten of all time list, but I got into it quickly and stayed invested and guessing the whole time.

Ok storyline. Did have a twist but just not jaw dropping
