I never noticed that this was illustrated by Quentin Blake. What a great mash-up, Seuss's incomparable rhyme and meter complemented by Blake's artwork.

Very uncharacteristic for Dr. Seuss, but an excellent read none-the-less. The text is extremely simple, but fantastically up-beat, and there's a surprise ending that catches me off-guard every time. The illustrations, by Quentin Blake, are vibrant and fit the theme of the book very well.

Somehow it doesn't work for me- Dr Zeuss's American-style zany words don't work with Quentin Blake's English eccentric illustrations.
