The Fall of the House of Usher by Edgar Allan Poe

Not scary. Super boring. I read "What Moves the Dead" first and it was strange to have a rewrite (term used very loosely here) that gave me so much more to chew on than the original. There was way too much time spent describing the house's bad vibes and almost no time spent on the action/culmination of the suspense. Not a fan of this one.

Naturally, there are few authors who can give you shivers quite like Edgar Allen Poe. One of his better works.

I’m glad I’m more intelligent now in understanding literature because a younger version of myself wouldn’t have understood. Love the gothic elements.
