What a heart wrenching and emotional finale to this fantastic series! Matteo's much anticipated love story is emotional, heart wrenching, angsty, and beautiful- nothing that I expected yet everything I was hoping for and more. From the first page to the last, Savior of Regrets consumed me heart and soul- I want to live in this Verona world forever!

It's now Matteo's time. This book was amazing to read. Matteo meet Caitlin 8 months ago and ghosted him. When he finds her again he isn't going to let her go. This book was about their journey to happiness. This was a quick read as you don't want to put the book down.

Possible triggers as heroine is abused by other man at the start.
Hero and heroine had a ONS some time ago but heroine wouldn't leave contact details.
There is more to her history but that is kept a secret.
I found it a bit frustrating.
Heroine pushes away and refuses to talk about anything personal.
HEA.
Secondary characters from previous books in series.
Breadcrumbs dropped for possible future books.

We started Matteo and Caitlyn's story in Angel of Tears, and it carries on a year later. Cait has moved on,to better her life...or tried to,but that has proved difficult being deep into one of the darkest and most hideous devils of the Mafia.
Matteo Bellatoni has craved his "Tink" the red headed, green eyed beauty for over a year, and their paths cross again at a completely devastating time and he and the Marchetti family vow to keep her safe.
Their path to happiness is rocky to say the least...the trust needs to be fixed...secrets need to revealed and family need to come together, because no one crosses the Marchetti familgia without hell becoming the storm.
Matteo and Cait have become a close second to Niccolo and Arianne...and I'm secretly hoping that a second generation series comes along...seriously a girl can wish!
Loved it!!!!

This can be read as a standalone but definitely, the whole series is worth reading it, is one of my top favorites from LA Cotton, Matteo's story was everything I wanted to read and it surprised me a bit, his story consumed, and hooked me from the start, it kept me on edge with twists and turns I never saw coming. Caitlin is the perfect woman for Matteo, I loved her since I met her, and I so wanted their story.

I love, love, LOVE that Matteo got his HEA! That sweet man deserved it! And I'm so excited that it was with Caitlin. Though I'll be honest and say there were quite a few times that Caitlin made me mad. I know that poor girl had damaged baggage up the wazoo. But still, I didn’t like the cold shoulder she kept giving Matt. He just wanted to love her.

I need to give a special shout out to Bella. That girl knew how to bring sunshine into a storm!

I loved how there was angst in this story but at the same time not so much that it overtook the romance. It seemed like the perfect combination. Just enough to keep me on my toes but not enough to lose my romantic heart.

Matteo and Caitlin were wonderful! But I've also glad we got to see the other two couples again. I will SO miss this world and the Marchetti family!

This is book 4 in the Verona Legacy series. It’s Matteo’s story, and I was waiting for his story since I read the first book. And the wait was so worth it!
I so enjoyed Cait and Matteo’s story. I totally wanted to jump in the book and give both of them a big long hug. Just wrapping them in my arms. Both have their own shadows / regrets / problems / past - which they need to come to terms with. In their own way and time. Caitlin had a big issue with getting help from anyone else and Matteo just couldn’t stand by and not help.
I’d love to read more from this mafia romance series!

If you like mafia romance, dark romance, than this is the series for you! If you have never read anything in this genre before, than please start with this series, as it’s not too dark and a perfect series to get into it!!

I kindly received an arc from the author and voluntarily left a review

Life has definitely not been kind to Caitlin but one night spent with Matteo -by chance- has changed everything both of them.

Savior of Regrets shows us the ugly side of people, the courage it takes to leave a bad situation, the rise of a new boss and that love can heal past hurts.

Fave quotes:
“It’s not your job to fix her, Matteo. It’s your job to care enough to help her fix herself.”—-I love this advice that Luis gives Matteo

Nicco was like another person, sitting there, issuing veiled threats to Lombardi. This wasn’t my best friend, my cousin, the guy I’d grown up with. This was Niccolò Marchetti, the boss of the Marchetti crime family. The Boss of Dominion.—-YASSS Nicco showing that he has earned his position.

Caitlin wasn’t only strong; she was a fucking warrior, and she deserved so much more than the hand she’d been dealt.—I absolutely love that Matteo does not see her as a weak person
