Loved the feminist opinions and values, they seemed genuine.
Great humour.
Loved the ending.
Now that I'm writing this, I think I'll change my rating to something higher.

This book is so good. I love this book with my whole heart. (Possible slight spoliers ahead) Audrey and Harry's love story had me rooting for them right from when they first met. Everything about it was so predictable and cheesy but I loved it so much. I never thought I'd enjoy something so cheesy but this book just did it for me.

Harry's zombie movie was a great way to expand Audrey and His relationship. It was such a smart way to tie Harry's friends into the relationship. Rosie being the like "villain" is great with Milo being the like backround past villain in Audrey's life. The girls and how they and Audrey's relationship changes again and again over the course of the book. Leroy being that one person we all need in our life I fell in love with him the second he was mentioned. All of Audrey's family problems. If you can't tell I just love this book.

The last chapter made me tear up a slight bit and it's not even because it's really sad but I knew what was gonna happen and (spoliers major spoliers) then when it actually happened and I knew it was over I wasn't okay. I'd been rooting for their relationship and then it happened and I was so happy and then it all fell apart a matter of days later. Harry's movie he makes her made me feel something and then when she leaves the tears did start coming up. I didn't actually cry but I did tear up because it was just so sad.(end of spoliers)

Please read this book because it's so great. A great romance book just so good. If you can't tell I like this book alot.

Spoiler LOL! I WANT TO DIE! THIS BOOK CAUSED ME EMOTIONAL DAMAGE AND I WANT HOLLY BOURNE TO PAY!
ok not really because she wrote the most magnificent book ever if you get rid of my emotions
first off, i loved how female friendship was portrayed in this book. The Girls are incredible and so sweet and just perfect, power of female friendship. they make audrey always feel welcome even tho she messed up and make her feel so comfortable. i love how ppl would think they’re shallow but they have the biggest hearts!!!!
sweet audrey, i ADORE HER WITH MY WHOLE HEART. she’s just incredible and feels so genuine and so real, she deserves so much better. she has her flaws and at first i thought i wouldn’t like her but i love her. the not like other girls speech had me SCREAMING cos she’s so RIGHT. and the rivalry with rosie was not cos of media putting women against each other but because rosie was genuinely horrible (i despise girls who think that other girls are “too much drama” go die”. the social commentary in this book was fantastic. i love how audrey is so talented and doesn’t take any bull.
the family dynamics made me sob. her mum’s breakdown scene genuinely ruined me it was so heartbreaking. gosh they all deserve so much better. HER DAD CAN GO CRAWL AND DIE AND ROT IN A HOLE AND SAME WITH HIS HOMEWRECKER WIFE. i feel so bad for the twins, they deserve better and i wish audrey could still see them :( baffles me that she was so calm for so long w her dad aka the cunt, i hope he cheats on the skank too. but shes had so much burden, i’ve seen reviews talking abt how shes unlikable and i’m like CAN U NOT SEE WHAT SHES BEEN THRU????? and i understand dougie, i get that he had to leave it’s not his fault. when he came back, their bonding scene made me sob. i love them sm. idk what happened w the house, i think they all moved to wales (so proud of audrey) which is good, they need a fresh start.
lol. the big event. um.
harry sounds cute and very much like my one true love harry styles (she says harry style once in a diff context plus theyre british which is a setting i loved plus he has dimples and dark hair) so i was imagining him which was a big mistake cos now i want to kms 😁😁😁😁😁
this book gave me butterflies lol. the romance was adorable, the banter! the touchiness! audrey pulling him up on things! he likes romance films and showed them to her for her to believe in love! he was so perceptive! the cinema setting! they mentioned best rom com ever 10 things i hate abt you! him just telling her he liked her straight up! he was vulnerable and told her he wouldn’t hurt her! (whole of chapter 26, 30 and 31 really)!
AND HE STILL CHEATED.
i’ve pulled an all-nighter to read this book like it’s 6am now and i haven’t slept. i want to die.
this is SO bittersweet because i know what holly was writing and she accomplished what she set out to perfectly but my heart is shattered. the hopeless romantic in me doesn’t wanna believe it, i got butterflies which i haven’t got from a book in AGES and it all sucked. i barely remember the final movie scene cos i was hysterically sobbing but i’m glad she said no, i was scared for a sec she wouldn’t. i just can’t believe he did that, i don’t care how drunk you were, if you were CONSCIOUS and AWARE that it was rosie NOT audrey then it is your fault (unlike elliot from love and other words). and he obviously consented because he’s totally guilty and knows it unlike elliot. i hope his heart is shattered and he cuts off rosie, never trust him with the girl best friend
i just wanna die because i loved them together so much 😭😭😭😭 i can see that they were toxic in some ways esp them fighting and making up thru physical stuff and he’s super not well adjusted like the drugs abs stuff. also love is a choice and he should’ve chosen her (i also like this message, very good representation of real love)
regardless i’m really happy audrey and co are happy and thriving tho! lowkey need to reread the ending cos i was in a state of shock
so yea the rating may change cos of my feelings but taking personal preferences out, this is an outstanding book. honestly i feel like crying more but don’t have any more tears to cry 😭
