Euphoria is hands down one of my favorite novels. King's ability to set the environment is flawless, the setting is lush and exotic without being unimaginably or distractingly foreign. Her depiction of the complex relationships between our main characters is consistently compelling. The ending, one of the most heart-breaking things that I have ever read.
I will never not recommend this book to every person that I can. It is an important story, loosely inspired by the life of 20th century anthropologist Margaret Mead, and a magnificently told one.

I just completed my fifth read of this book and it honestly holds up as one of my favorites.

I would have liked more from this book. It immerses you in a completely different world, and by the time I got oriented, the story was almost over. But the writing is gorgeous and the two narrators for the audiobook did a great job.
