Este libro es un compendio de lo que Bella habría anotado en un cuaderno sobre los libros que más le han gustado y, añadiendo frases de ellos, nuestra protagonista incluye pensamientos sobre esas frases u opiniones al respecto. Podemos encontrar fragmentos tanto de “El Quijote” como de “Las mil y una noches” todo ello acompañado de ilustraciones que hacen que el lector pase página tras página sin aburrirse. Me ha parecido una forma muy didáctica de recomendar lecturas y de hacer que los personajes que tantos valores muestran en las películas tengan como una parte de “realidad”. Me ha encantado, como ya he mencionado, la edición del libro, las ilustraciones y los comentarios sobre los fragmentos. Me apunto algunos de ellos. Además me ha parecido una idea fascinante tener un cuaderno en el que escribir las partes de las lecturas que nos hacen reflexionar y luego escribir sobre cómo influye en nuestra vida o qué nos hacen sentir. Como un cuaderno de sentimientos y anécdotas.

Basically this is a collection of quotes from Belle's favorite books along with notes she has made on the quotes. Perfect for Disney and Beauty and the Beast fans.

A friend took this for me while she was on USA, and I'm so happy! I even didn't know this book existed before she gifted it to me.
*I had some difficulties choosing my favorite quotes, I mostly like them all!*
I loved it! First, the edition is absolutely gorgeous. I'm not a fan of yellow color, but the cover is a soft shadow of yellow that matches Belle's dress and it makes me want to paint my walls this color. And inside you'll find a quote from a book on Belle's library on one page and her thoughts on the other, along with some pretty drawings. Really, I would have bought this book for the pretty edition only!

But let's not judge a book by it's cover (OK YES I DO THAT ALL THE TIME), because the book's quotes and Belle's notes on them are so incredibly inspiring and positive that I don't know how this book isn't more popular.! The quotes are all from classics that mostly I haven't read yet, but that's not a problem, you don't need to have read them or know the story to understand them, but in the case that you want to know more about them there's an appendix where you can get more details on the titles.
This would make a great gift for kids and Beauty and the Beast's fans!

If you are a fan of Beauty and The Beast, you need to read this. It was fascinating understanding the process of creating Belle, the books she would love and what she thought of them. There are many wonderful quotes to ponder on.

Cute little book. I loved the idea of being able to see what kind of books belle would have read. I especially like the reason given to why belle would have liked the books mentioned. It's a super light read with quotes on one side and her thoughts on the other. It gave me ideas on how I would like to write my own journal.
