I have a feeling I'd read this before, but it wasn't on my Goodreads history, nor did I recall much of the plot. That probably says a lot about this book!

The book opens with a shooting on board a ferry; includes a child abduction; and concludes with a series of murders in one apartment block. All the crimes were interesting but unfortunately none of them got enough space to be properly developed and the villains were sketchy, almost caricatures.

The book felt rushed and unsatisfying. I still like the characters and will stick with the series for that reason, but it could be diminishing returns at this stage.

While all the other books in this series usually focus on one case, this book went in all kinds of directions. It was partially my fault since I decided to read two James Patterson books at the same time, both with a similar plot. Although it had a few different tangents, I still liked the story & the end of the book was very good & quick to finish. Looking forward to the next one!

The most recent I've read in the Women's Murder Club Series. Very great quick read.

Jeez, this poor series. The first few are such good, solid mysteries. The murder club gals, solving the crime committed by the ultimate baddy! As I have kept going, there is less and less murder club actually incorporated, multiple crimes and criminals in one book that are easily guessable, etc. I’m really committed to finishing these and see if they get better, but ugh
