I only read this book because it was free for Kindle and I needed a break from Anna Karenina. Short
+ free = why not? Everything about it was obvious.

"Olivia Bellamy has traded her trendy Manhattan life for a summer renovating her family's crumbling holiday resort. Tempted by the hazy, nostalgic memories of summers past - childhood innocence and the romance and rivalries of her teens - it's the perfect place to flee after her broken engagement. But what began as an escape may just be a new beginning...As Olivia uncovers secrets buried thick with dust, one by one her family return, their lives as frayed at the edges as the resort." (From Amazon)

I enjoyed this contemporary romance set in a small town. Not just a romance it is about a town, resort and the people living there.

A nice ending, a decent read. Characters weren't well developed , nor could I connect/relate to them.

The Lakeshore Chronicles is a series in good company with Robyn Carr's virgin river and Susan Mallory fools gold. I would love to be invited to a long weekend by the lake with this cast of characters. I listened to the audiobooks each morning doing my makeup and so good I kept listening on way to work

I really did enjoy this so don't let my rating discourage you from that fact. However the flashbacks hindered my enjoyment because I felt like I didn't really grow to know Olivia or Connor, I just skimmed the surface into delving into who these characters really are as people. I think this plus the fact that this truly felt like the first book in a series where Wiggs is trying to stuff a lot of background for the series as a whole, as well as Olivia & Connor's story, kept me from giving this book a higher rating.

Cada vez que leo un libro de romance entiendo la razón por la cual es necesario hacerlo de vez en cuando. Descubrí hace poco que es una saga de muchos libros pero creo con este me bastó.

I loved this book! I've always loved reading books about summer camp, and this one bouncing back and forth between and adult and her childhood camp memories was perfect. Very enjoyable, especially as cold as it is here now!
