Rachel and Duncan have had a rollercoaster of a relationship, one moment they are together the next they are. Duncan has kept Rachel from getting to close, it is what tears them apart. However when Duncan begins his Ascension things begin to change between Rachel and Duncan, but there is an enemy trying to tear them apart.
Another brilliant read from Caris Roane. Rachel and Duncan are one of my favorite couples. Can't wait for more.

Warrior Duncan and Rachel have one of those strange on again, off again relationships. He's a warrior and she's a pacifist. What's going to happen now that they are in the midst of the breh-hedden, a sort of vampire mating dance?
Fantastic story! I just have to remember that this part of the series is told in installments. The characters in this story turn out to be so much more than I expected. I anxiously await the next installment.
