This book was as unputdownable as the first. I love this author and really want to read the 50 shades of grey now as I’ve only ever seen the films. There wasn’t as much high octane drama in this book as the first but it still had drama and suspense in it as well as building the characters story. I loved the happy ending as well. Would definitely recommend the duology!

I waited over a year for the sequel to The Mister to come out (this book). I had so many questions and felt the story was not complete. When I had looked before there was no updates as to whether the author was going to write a second book or not. I hoped but kept it in the mind of my mind.
Then, a few days ago I saw The Missus on Amazon. I was so excited, my expectations for the book were high. I think overall, my expectations were met. I finished the book pretty content with the ending.
With that being said…some of the story was slow. Some aspects of it dragged (which I didn’t think happened in the first book). The first book felt more “high-risk” than the second one did. In my opinion, there were no real “stakes” in regard to Alessia (being deported/trafficked, etc). To me it seemed more like a book delving into how cultural differences can affect marriage.
Overall, I enjoyed the book. If you finished The Mister and want the questions you have answered…it is worth it to read The Missus.
