Another decent entry in Kelly Thompson's Jessica Jones. Purple Daughter has the same plot issues as Blind Spot: unsatisfying conclusion and convenient plot devices. It also shares Blind Spot's strengths: great JJ characterization and art. Fans of the character will likely enjoy this comic.

Tripped over this recently. Not a bad Jessica Jones book. But echoes way too much of the show rather than the previous books. Which isn't necessarily fair. And Killgrave, sigh. There are definitely other Jessica Jones to tell. But it was nice to be back in that world for a little while. And it was a surprisingly good use of Emma Frost. 3.5 of 5.

Really enjoyed this run of Jessica Jones. The villain is super creepy, and Jessica is a badass. I also really like the way other characters from the Marvel Universe turn up in a way that feels organic and natural.

This is my first time reading a Jessica Jones comic, and I will admit that part of me was hoping it would make more sense. It had the problem almost every super hero comic has these days: It continues on a story that newer readers don't know anything about.
Sure, this book was ok at explaining everything, but I still felt a little left behind, and that's not a fun feeling.
Other than that, the story was OK. It did make me question a lot of the things going on, and I guess that was the point.
The whole reason for the story was a little empty, though. Sure, I get the whole traumatized thing, but still, it felt like something they made up on the fly. Not the purple daughter thing, that worked surprisingly well, but the rest of it. Oh well.
I also liked the art, and the fact that they kept the same art-style almost all the way through and only changed it when it fit with the story.
