So fun! I loved Briar's relationship to all the guys and, as in "Faking With Benefits", the separate relationships were all developed really well. I'm loving this trend of romance FMC's becoming more extroverted and being able to stand up for themselves and Briar definitely fits into that category. The mystery aspect was well done and didn't feel out of place. Looking forward to continuing with "Nanny For The Neighbors"!

This story was darker and had a lot more intense themes and scenes than the other Lily Gold books I have read. I have not experienced the things that the main character does, but I feel like it was handled well and was not idealized or romanticized in any way.

I really liked the love interests in this book. The fell into the typical reverse harem archetypes, but they were all individuals outside of the relationship which was refreshing. They all have tragic and unique stories and are a great group both in and out of the relationship.

The story is good and fun smut as it is supposed to me. And I've said it before and I will say it again, I have no problem with that!

This was too action-y for my personal tastes and I didn’t feel like there was a solid connection between Briar and Kenta; it felt forced.

Triple Duty Bodyguards was good, but Friends with Benefits was better. The spice was about the same for both books, however I feel like FwB had better character development. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand Lily Gold’s writing, and I appreciate it as a pallet cleanser between high fantasy & sci-fi reads. The portrayal of PTSD and mental illness could use some work, as someone with loved ones with PTSD etc, it can be very difficult to love and support them when they’re struggling.

When I first read this book I gave it 5 stars but now I’ve changed that to 4.25.  I loved the main character and I liked the love interests. But the focus in the book was a lot about Matts past and how wrongly he treated Briar. Also about how protective he was but I didn’t think we got much about his personality. With the other love interests we did get that which made me like them a lot more and I don’t enjoy that in a why choose book.
