This story was darker and had a lot more intense themes and scenes than the other Lily Gold books I have read. I have not experienced the things that the main character does, but I feel like it was handled well and was not idealized or romanticized in any way.

I really liked the love interests in this book. The fell into the typical reverse harem archetypes, but they were all individuals outside of the relationship which was refreshing. They all have tragic and unique stories and are a great group both in and out of the relationship.

The story is good and fun smut as it is supposed to me. And I've said it before and I will say it again, I have no problem with that!

Triple Duty Bodyguards is a standalone and does not need to be supplemented by any other books.
Reverse Harem pretty much owns me at this point, they are my go to type of book. This one really did not disappoint. It gave what a reverse harem should give.

Briar Saint. It was like a series of unfortunate events for Briar, seriously I felt so bad for her. I could not help but sympathize with her the whole time. Even though Briar had so much going on she still was strong, independent, sassy and everything I want in a FMC. Seriously, Briar is one of the FUNNIEST FMC I have ever had the pleasure of reading about. She genuinely had me laughing 50% of the book. I loved Briar and I want more FMC like her.

“I’m sure even Barbie sometimes wanted to dress like an assassin about to kill a man.”

Glen Smith. Ok personally I am a Glen girl, I am a sucker for the teddy bear type and the SCAR and he’s SCOTTISH?? Holy sexy alert. I loved that we got to see Glen’s vulnerabilities and insecurities about his looks because we don’t often get to see men be vulnerable, especially protective men. I loved Glen and Briar’s relationship. They are so freaking cute and I never wanted their moments to end.

Kenta Li. Calm, cool and collected, everything Briar was not. The perfect one to balance her out. I loved Kenta taking care of Briar because he didn’t go all macho-man on her (which I also love). But it a reverse harem it is so important to have many different personality types. I loved seeing Kenta’s maturity and his knowledge of psychology come into play. He kept Briar independent honestly and she needed that independence to not lose herself.

Matthew Carter. I don’t know if anyone else feels this way but I always feel as though the author often tries to steer us to one of the men more so than the others. I felt that vibe with Matt. Listen Matt was great and did have some solid character development, but Briar was right when she said his past and trauma does not excuse his actions toward Briar. He genuinely did not handle a single situation right and was rude to her which I just didn’t really vibe with. He grew and got better, as he should, but he just wasn’t my favorite!

The SMUT, honestly it was pretty good smut, and there was a decent amount of it. I loved her having individual moments with all of them but I also loved watching the group moments. This smut was just the right balance among the plot, and I loved how each man had totally different interests and desires in the bedroom but they all still had great dynamics/chemistry.

Overall, this book was good and I would recommend it to those who enjoy reverse harems! The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I didn’t really enjoy Matt’s character, and we I prefer when the men are also intimate with each other. BUT THAT IS SOLELY MY PREFERENCE AND SHOULD NOT AFFECT ANYONE ELSE'S THOUGHTS.
