i do not have enough brain cells in me to fully comprehend the depth and meaning jericho brown's poems down to a T, but what i can say is this: that was beautiful. he has a way with words that allows you to feel the experience and emotions by which he writes about.

4 stars because i am a dumbass and this is the first time in a long time i've read poetry so i'm slow to understand.

Enjoyed how Jericho Brown reveals more about himself and the world with each poem in this collection. I interpret these poems to be about life and death, nature and nurture, harm and survival.

Bullet Points was a standout poem that will stay with me.
