I felt like reading another book written by Mrs Mornštajnová.

The character I feel closest to and the character who I like the best is Elsa, Hana's and Rosa's mom. She raised them alone and did a wonderful job. Even when she felt hopeless, she pulled herself together and continued to be an amazing mother. She was strong, practical, and loved her daughters dearly. I admire these traits.

The connection between historic events and stories is perfect. I love how Mrs Mornštejnová incorporated the plot into the time period. She managed to make me feel strong emotions while also educating me about the past. Her writing is immaculate. In my opinion, she's one of the best at portraying loveable characters.

The few final lines absolutely destroyed me. I am so glad they got sort of a happy ending and hope that from then on they would have the life they deserve.

While reading this book I cried, smiled and was shocked. I enjoyed every single page and finished the book in three days.  I'm glad I read it, I'm glad that I know this pulchritudinous story.
