This was my favorite of the series. I absolutely adore Sophronia and Soap. I like Dimity and Sideag as well, but I have never liked Felix. I don't want to spoil anything, but this is not only the most exciting Carriger I've read so far, but I actually got choked up and almost cried! Thank goodness Carriger kept that part brief and hurriedly found a way out of a losing situation.

The tears are my excuse for bumping this up from four to five stars. These books are fun and fluffy. I thoroughly enjoy them, but never feel right giving them more than four stars. This time, I can't help it.

As delightful as the first two-- plenty of action, romance, and intrigue. Author Gail Carriger does what I thought to be impossible- she writes a love triangle that is believable and not at all annoying or overwrought (it's also the last thing on Sophronia's agenda).

Definitely read them in order as the over-arching intrigued/political machinations build from book to book.

awesome as always

I love these books. The ending sets up the next book nicely. The Felix/Soap issue takes a nice surprising turn.

There is so much going on here. With nefarious plots taking shape, Sephronia and her crew take off. They steal a train. There is unknown technology and plots to be discovered and nobody really knows who the enemy is. Not to mention, there is a bit of a love triangle moment and someone gets the werewolf bite.

In this book, we see more of the found family dynamics as they take off to Scotland on a stolen train together and have to fight to survive. The adventure is delightful and the foubd family is just incredible.

Like the rest in the series, the third installment of Finishing school does not disappoint.
