Read this for school.
Although I found some of the poems a bit shallow, there were a couple that I found powerful. The aesthetics and the poems felt a bit like Milk & Honey. I also enjoyed reading the author’s journey to becoming a stronger, more confident woman who overcomes her trauma.

It pains me that people dare to call this poetry. The fact that some people give it 5 stars even, makes me question the little faith I have left in humanity.

Trigger warnings:
Devoue pours her heart and soul into this poetry collection and it shows. Her words pack a punch while telling a story that many women will find a little of their own in. Poetry is sharing gorgeously woven words to describe feelings and situations that are hard to depict otherwise. And while this collection may remind readers of other poetry collections, which use a similar style of prose, that shouldn't discount the courage and emotion stored between these pages.
