I have officially fallen in love with the Tommen boys. I am addicted to these books and I have a mayor crush on Gerald, Johnny and confident, sexy Shannon!

God, i have never cried that bad because of a book before. I had to stop and compose myself several times. Johnny Kavanagh and Shannon Lynch have my entire heart, and the friendships in this book are unbeatable. You will scream, cry, laugh and smile till your cheeks hurt 💕

Oh my god SHANNON!!! The growth this girl has had brought me to tears it was so great to read. She deserves the world and Johnny is willing to give it to her! He works so hard for himself and those he loves it’s so genuine.

I really enjoyed this book a lot and all of the characters have a piece of my heart! Gibsie & Claire, Mammy K, the younger brothers, AOIFE!!! I enjoyed seeing more from the side characters and the set up for Joey’s books.

I think the second half of this book was better than the first half, and I think this one could’ve been a tiny bit shorter but I loved everything about Shannon & Johnny and this universe!!!

I guess the BOT series will become my new comfort books. If you really want to experience all the basic emotions in 1 book, this is your call.

I have laughed, shed tears, cringed and insufferably wanted to throw the book at the walls (which unfortunately I couldn’t as I am reading this series on my e-reader 🫣). My hopes had not risen exponentially after the first book, but the 2nd book clearly had the content I was currently craving. It had pretty much everything. Painful situations, lots of suspense and lots of love and friendship all together. It's like watching your comfort series on Netflix. This book was also much darker and more emotional than the first book. Even though the first book was already intense, I felt it lacked some details to get to the same level of emotion as this book. Next, the great advantage with thick books is that you create a huge bond with the characters. For instance, I still found myself staring at the walls for a while after reading the 2 books about Johnny and Shannon. It left absolutely no philosophical or mature impact on me, just an impact that pulls you a bit more out of reality. With this one, this series will obviously linger in my mind for a long time....

Again, a minor downside to the story was that there was a lot of repetition. Especially in the first part of the book. Also, the intimate scenes had become rather boring after a while as it was continuously broken up. On the other hand, that was a positive as it allowed the intimacy to build up.

I am 100% sure I will experience nostalgia about Johnny and Shannon's perspectives, but it is time for another couple's story. I am very curious about Joey's history!
