Great story with some really emotional moments that brought tears to my eyes.
The novel would‘ve benefitted from a more vivid language.

If a book makes me cry, I find that it’s a good book. A chapter of this book had me bawling.

A short but packed read. I really enjoyed the world it took me to and the stories inside just one cafe. If you’re a fan of the real world with a bit of magic, you will like this!

A coffee shop where, if you sit in a specific seat and follow a very strict set of rules, you can travel back (and forth) in time.
The idea is pretty nice and I liked most of the book apart from the last of the four stories.
I still want to read the other books but they’re not high up on my priority list.

This is a short book with a lot of emotional depth, built on a simple premise. I like the core of each story is easy to relate to regardless of the specific situation. It definitely pulls on the heartstrings a bit. The magical premise was simple and easy to integrate, but doesn't over specify things so there are holes to poke.

I enjoyed how each person's individual story played into the larger group and the characters stick around in one way or another. It really emphasizes the importance of connection and relationships.

Our virtual book club, "Diversify Your Reading" picked this for a cozier fall read and it was liked all around. Join us here: https://bookclubs.com/diversify-your-reading-2
