When it was announced that this book was coming out, I had mixed feelings about it. However, I got the audiobook and decided to read it anyway because I love Lara Jean and Jenny’s writing so much. Always and Forever, Lara Jean wasn’t at all neccessary but I felt the same way towards the second book, P. S. I Still Love You, so it was expected.
The best aspect of this series are definitely the characters. Lara Jean is a marshmallow and I love her so so much. I love her attitude, all her quirks and how she deals with certain situations. All the supporting characters are wonderful as well and my fave must be Kitty. She always makes me laugh. I still don’t like Margot and I never will and she was extra bitchy in this installment but never mind. Peter Kavinsky is my cinnamon roll. He’s my dream guy and with every book I read about him I love him more. This one was no exception. All the relationships between characters still felt authentic and I enjoyed reading about them. Jenny Han should teach a lot of writers how to write good relationships.
Oh, I almost forgot Ravi. He’s a new character and I found it interesting how much his character reminded me of Ravi from iZombie. There are a lot of similarities and it made me think whether it’s a coincidence or not? I kind of hope that book Ravi was based off of iZombie Ravi, that would be so cool.
Plotwise, I can’t say the book was action-packed or even filled with drama (even though there were some dramatic stuff happening) but it was interesting and I flew through this book because it’s so easy to get sunk into Lara Jean’s life. As I already mentioned, it wasn’t neccessary for this book to exists and it feels a bit like a fanfiction. Not writingwise but you know, when fans love the world and the characters so much and they don’t want to say goodbye to them so they write fanfiction about what happened later? That kind of fanfiction. I loved it, though. It worked with this one.I could read about these characters forever so I don’t really mind that nothing important really happened and all we got were Lara Jean and Peter cute moments alongside some other fun stuff that I’m not gonna talk about because I don’t want to spoil anything.
I am sure that there is not going to be the fourth book in the series, though I would love to read it. Everything wrapped up in this one and there were no loose ends but I’m sure Jenny Han would find something to write about if she wanted to. To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before trilogy put a smile on my face and made me feel all fluffy on the inside – I love that feeling. Jenny Han for sure knows how to write contemporary novels. Please read these books if you haven’t yet, they’re amazing!

i feel like it took me forever to finish this. though i liked the first book, the second and especially the third were just really boring. it consisted of too much forced "cuteness" and almost all of the characters are so immature it made me cringe. there were small parts of it that i liked, but overall i‘m just glad that i‘m finally done with this.

The beauty of books is being able to go back to them time and time again, no matter your age or where you are in life, you can be escorted back to a certain time. I will come back to Lara Jean’s story over and over again. ❤️

I’m torn between giving this book a 3.5 star or a 4 star. The beginning was so strong and super cute. Smiles and laughs the whole time. Then came the conflict and the resolution. Both were fine, but I just wished for more. Overall, it’s still an adorably cute love story and the perfect audiobook.
