I'm a huge fan of KL Kreig and this conclusion that I was desperately waiting for did not disappoint. No one does a cliffhanger and a conclusion like this author.

After the ending oh Book 1 the conclusion could have been so many different scenarios. The angst, the suspense, the emotions and the love in this conclusion will have you glued. Willow with her beautiful heart and Shaw the all alpha male will keep you swooning but is the things they do for the people they love that will put a smile to your face.

As always they are quite a few trying to stir up things which of course caused problems for Shaw and Willow. At times I wish Willow had more backbone especially towards her bff but that's just how she is. And Shaw was just himself that loved her endlessly.

The ending I don't think it's the end. I sense that the Mercers will turn into a series and also a book on sexy Noah, Shaw's right hand man and best friend. The way Noah treats Willow is beyond beautiful.

I voluntarily accepted an advanced reader copy of this book.

I have to say I enjoyed this one even more than the first one in the series. All the twists and turns are starting to unravel and I loved it! It kept me entertained until the end. I swooned over the characters and the chemistry was so palpable. This book was sexy and full of passion and heart. This was a great conclusion and I can't wait to see what K.L. Kreig brings us next.

Perfection

I needed this conclusion to be as epic as the first book. And sweet holy hell it was. Normally I strongly dislike it when books are drawn out into multiple books or left with a cliffhanger. I read so much that I forget the impact of the story while I am waiting for the next. In this case this couldn't go in just one book. There are not enough words to express my gratitude to this author for realizing this and not scrimping on the story or rushing it.

The author did a fantastic job setting the scenes. There is a cadence to her words that lulls you in. Even her side characters were in depth and left me wanting to know more. Hint hint, Noah and Sierra please! She even makes me want to know more about Reid and if he finds his one. Willow. Sweet amazing Willow. What a journey for her and Shaw... Good lord, that man makes my ovaries explode. The love he had for Willow was pure and beautiful. There is a scene where he explains why he sees her differently than all the other girls and why he loves her that pretty much put him in the running for best book boyfriend. Combined they better each other, learn how to love unconditionally, and have some of the best chemistry ever. Lawd, the sex was hotter than Hades but tastefully done in the story. It wasn't all sex which made the story that much better.

Great book. Read it, you will enjoy it.

⭐️ 5+ STARS ⭐️
K.L. Kreig always steals every single emotion straight from my soul with her mesmerising prose. Found Underneath utterly, breakingly, beautifully consumed me. I didn’t think I could love Willow and Shaw more than I already did, but they are another level of perfection in this second and installment of the Finding Me Duet.

Found Underneath starts right where Lost in Between ended, with Shaw in an impasse with the secret he now holds that could break his blossoming relationship with Willow. He’s really torn between protecting his sister Annabelle’s future and sheltering the woman he unexpectedly fell in love with from the hard truth he’s now holding about her past. Shaw really struggles with this dilemma he’s faced with and it’s only a matter of time before everything crumble and he knows it. But his feelings for Willow are so overwhelming and awe-inspiring that they eclipse reason.

I loved how in this story their passion is as intense as it previously was, but now with a high dose of romantic feelings too. You feel the desperation they have for each other and it’s absolutely stunning. Both protagonists grow so much since the beginning of the duet. It’s not easy for them to bare their heart and reveal their most private feelings and torment to each other, but they gradually overcome these difficulties and embrace their relationship for what it is.

Shaw’s dirty mouth is once again pure bliss. He’s so dreamy, the epitome of alpha hero and I could fangirl on and on about this hot specimen of a man. He’s seriously that commanding and appealing to read about. But as much as he can ooze maleness and dominant sensuality, he’s at his best when he exposes his heart. Willow still possesses secrets of her own, but every single day her reticence to expose them to Shaw weakens. The intimacy they share is so combustible that it’s heating up the place and every single moment they spend together exudes longing, desire, possession and definite adoration! This couple is a fiery duo I worshiped wholly.

The side characters once again bring strength to the story that is already mighty solid. The accumulation of secrets mixed with Willow’s ex fiancé return only raises the tension all read long and makes it even more thrilling.

This epic conclusion is so heartfelt and astonished me. It’s undeniably in my top favorite reads this year and K.L. Kreig’s impressive talent is once again proved. She’s a master at stirring emotions from her readers and Found Underneath has them all. I couldn’t have hoped for a better ending than this for the Finding Me Duet. It’s a masterpiece a will treasure!

It was a deal. A contract. No muss, no fuss, no feelings and $250,000. It should have been easy. It was all a facade. Until what was Lost In Between became Found Underneath...

"She’s color, she’s sun, she’s rain, she’s earth, she’s breath, she’s warmth , she’s salt, she’s sweet. She’s life. She’s..."

But what will become of this "thing" when the past comes to light? How will two closed off individuals share enough to become one...or is their fate more like the crumbling house of cards?

I honestly put off reading this arc until the last minute possible. I was afraid of answers and afraid of the questions. I fell so deeply in love with Shaw and Willow that I didn't want to entertain the idea of anything else. So as much as I needed to know, I fought it.

I can safely say that I could have read it sooner but I still would have cried. I still would have shaken my fist. And I won't promise that I won't show up at KL Krieg's house to demand more. Yay be satisfied and content but I will always want more...

Perhaps Noah's story...
Bluebell's
Or a certain snippy hard @ss best friend...

If like me you were afraid, know this...Sometimes it's better to get all the facts than to wildly guess the answers. Just ask Willow.
You have nothing to fear except fear itself....Okay, that's bull but this story's conclusion is nothing to fear. It honestly could not have gone another way. (Seriously,KL Kreig is never wrong...)

To recap, I loved it. I hurt. I cried. I denied. But in the end, I need to.....

Wait I can't tell you that! Then you'll get the wrong impression. Read it.  Get the facts. Figure out what team you are on and how far you will fight for it!

Found Underneath is the second book in the Finding me series. This book picks up from where book 1 [Lost In Between] left off. You MUST read book one in order to know what the heck is going on.
Due to the nature of the story, I won't give any details on this story to avoid spoilers.
I love, love, loved this book. K.L tackles so many taboo items and gives them a voice so gentle that can't help but get sucked in.

Perfect ending

This was such an amazing series and the ending was perfectly fitting. Not just a plain happily ever after, but a fulfilling ending that felt natural and organic. This series is up there among my favorites.

I really enjoyed the conclusion to Willow and Shaw's story. K.L. Kreig brought the romance, some twists and a little angst to this story. I loved how complex Willow was.  She was so different than the female characters I'm use to reading about. Book number 2 in this series was full of instense moments that pulled me into the characters world. Overall I really enjoyed the story and passion between the characters and can't wait to see what Kreig has in store next.
