🔥🔥🔥🔥 Cat and Reese!! They met a coffee shop and she didn’t know he was the defense attorney in a trial she was covering. When Reese saw Cat he wanted her immediately but Cat is not your typical heroine. She is sassy, strong and no nonsense. She was like the female version of Reese.

The story revolves around the trial Reese was covering and the development of their relationship. Cat was straightforward and told Reese she wanted a one night stand but Reese wasn’t having it and wanted more than one night. The tug of war between these two kept the story interesting along with all the other extra stuff in the story.

They were emotional moments but not too emotional. They had so much in common and Cat had issues with men in general in reference to trust but Reese worked hard for her to overcome that.

There was a an issue that actually strengthened their relationship but it will have you on ends wondering what will happen. This is a great story with a little bit of everything that you’ll read in one sitting.

I voluntarily accepted an advanced reader copy of this book from the author.

*thank you to the author and publisher for providing an arc**

4.5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Lisa Renee Jones weaves an amazing story about a crime reporter and a lawyer whose paths cross and turn their worlds upside down. Lisa Renee Jones once again has you thinking it will go one way and just when you think all is well she throws a twist in that will have you wondering what will happen next. She does not disappoint in this book and keeps you invested the entire book. If you are looking for a new book, look no further!

Cat knows all about law, but decided that she was more drawn to talking about cases then actually representing people. And when her daily coffee stop before “the trial of the century” she bumps into the rudest man ever. His way of apologizing to her is telling her to meet him the next day which she will not do. But when she gets to the courtroom and finds out that he is the lawyer representing the man on trial she can’t help but be drawn to him.

Reese can’t get the woman from the coffee shop out of his head, but needs to focus on giving his opening to the judge and jury. Imagine his surprise when he finds Cat in the courtroom, he knows he will soon get his chance to talk to her again. And is hoping that maybe they can have a “one and done”.

Even though Cat talks herself out of meeting Reese the next day, she can’t deny not only the attraction she feels for him, but she is also in awe of his skill as a lawyer. And maybe a “one and done” attitude with him is what she needs to move on from him. But each day she writes her column she can’t help but highlight his amazing skills as a lawyer and has her wondering if she dismissed him too soon.

When she is offered another book deal for coverage of the case she is thrilled, except for the fact that they would like her to work with the prosecution. And when Reese sees her meeting with them he believes that everything he though about Cat is wrong.

As Cat and Reese navigate through the challenges that continue to come along, they can not deny their attraction and when they give into to it, the go all in. But is it too much, too soon? Will they be able to move on together or will their personal lives cross over into their professional lives and fracture their relationship?

This is a really good book, and I love how the extended epilogue end and worked out. I hope we get to see more of these characters in the other books.

Riveting read. I was sucked in to the trial as much as the story. What a great way to write this.

I adored the characters with their banter, chemistry, and steam.

When the book ends and you are left looking for more, what does and awesome author like Lisa Renee Jones do? She writes a whole novel to catch us up on Cat and Reese, awesome!! I loved Dirty Rich One Night Stand, it was so captivating and hot. Now to see that not much has changed in two years of marriage, it makes you love them more. Things are seeming wonderful for this power couple, until the start of the biggest trial Reese has tried. Of course the form of Oh No!, comes in the form of a previous one, two, or maybe three night stand from years ago. That and a bit of blackmail, hot sex and happiness, just ties it up with a beautiful bow.

🎧AUDIO VERSION🎧 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️/5 performance by Erin Mallon, Joe Arden

Performances were fantastic and enhanced the storyline immensely.

ARTICULATION  - clean, clear, precise
BREATHING – controlled, volume was great and consistent. Projection appropriate and mouth noise low.
DELIVERY –  very solid performance and in the spirit of the text and author’s intent. Timing and pacing is excellent. Varied and not predictable. Background noise (coffee cup dinking sound) was evident on female POV chapters. This was evident, but did not detract from the overall performance.
EYE BRAIN MOUTH CONTROL – accurate and effortless
CONSISTENT – high energy, articulation was accurate. Breath and pitch control was also consistent.
ANALYSIS – understands the story arc and characters. This was clear throughout all books in the series.
CHARACTERISATION – brings to life. Both POV characters were not as distinct as they could be. This did make it a challenge when the same characters were together in the same scene. Delivery was consistent in tone, attitude, age, accent. Voices did match characters but variety could have been utilised more.
SEPARATION- no spillover between narrator and character.

Oh Reese... *sigh*

Well Lisa you did good here! This was a really good story about love, trust and fighting for want you want. Both of the main characters were strong, their passion was palpable, and although a little too fast, their love growth was good to follow. The plot and the suspense was something I also liked a lot in this book. I love attorney tv Series and books, and this is a very good example of how to do it. There was some drama, but that was very well incorporate in the plot. Reese and Cat were very honest with each other, and didn't run from their love. Cat was burned before by a powerful attorney, so she was hesitant to give it a try with Reese (that is also an attorney), but she was brave enough to overcome her fears. And Reese *sight*, well Reese was just perfect.
