Idk if anything this book put me through a hell of a ride at this emocional roller coaster and I'm here for it! it reminded me of what I loved so much about books (especially fantasy books) when I was younger... the time i loved reading so much that I would literally eat them up, reading nonstop until finished and sort of threaten my family's wallet every time we passed a library lol
it may not be the best book out there but it has captured a piece of my heart and I will treasure it. it made me laugh, feel love and hatred and sadness... and god I SWEAR sometimes I LAUGHTED MY FUCKING MIND OFF i don't even know why

Now to spoilers:
Things I liked:
Spoiler
The way Feyre slowly starts to notice the abuse she went through, how Tamlin is a thret in the background in a way you almost forget about him at times until the end and then just uff... the BETAYAL! Just Mor in general <3 and also Nesta <3Things I didn't like:
Spoiler
I'm nor really a fan of the whole mate thing, between Rhys and Feyre is fine I guess, I just don't like the thought of Rhys loving her even before she really knew her, but the relization of Lucien and Elain I wasn't a fan of, I feel like it's just way too convinient for the plot. Also I can't really get completly behind the relationship between Rhys and Feyre because of what he did to her in the first book, he drug her and used her and I'm not sure the author is really seeing how problematic that is, because it is brushed aside really fast in this book and idk, it makes me a bit uncomfortable... and just kind of as a pet peeve: once Feyre knows they're mates she refers to Rhys as "my mate" way too often and it just gets repetitiveGraphic: Rape, Physical abuse, Murder, Mental illness, Death, Blood, Vomit, Sexual content, Violence, Toxic relationship, Suicidal thoughts, and Sexual violence

However, my least favourite parts of the SJM-EU are very present.
Spoiler
IChanging up who the damsel is works well in this story. And I am happy there are finally female friends for Feyre to talk to! Still think Nesta is still more tell than show when it comes to how "awful" she is. Sounds more like she was a grumpy teenager for a while - and by that logic we are all awful. She just seems protective and guarded?
"Am I expected to bear your offspring?" made me go ewwwwwwww.
Writing style kills me. "The wolves were faster. I was faster." "He wanted to protect the city. Protect me". " Together - together we'd find our peace, our future. Together". Drives me up the wall. I swear with good editing this could be a great streamlined 350 page book. As a good 20% is repetition of words in the same bloody sentence.
Graphic: Violence
Moderate: Sexual violence
Minor: Rape
