This is the best of all the romance books I have read till date. Not five- I'd give it a million stars and the highest praise for the best fantasy I’ve ever read.
I knew I was going to like it but I had no Idea that after completing it I would want to sell my soul to read it for the first time again. Or perhaps to be transported to this Farie world to live in the night court and never come back.
It was brilliant, mind-blowing, heart-wrecking, action-packed, and EVERYTHING I could ever want from a book.

One of the best aspects of this book is the Feyre-Rhys dynamic. That's not really a spoiler because I'm sure everyone could see it coming. After finishing A Court of Thorns and Roses, I had an inkling that there would be more to their relationship, and I was not wrong. Because, even though I liked Tamlin and Feyre as a couple in ACOTAR, I just didn’t buy that, and by the end when everything seemed to try to make me believe their relationship, I was still not convinced. I could see that Rhysand and Feyre certainly had a sort of chemistry that Feyre and Tamlin never had. The romance in the book is a slow burn and it's soo fkn good. The tension building between Rhys and Feyre was just air to my lungs. I was team Rhysand from the very moment Feyre met him, even before we knew his name. My opinion of him skyrocketed, while my opinion of Tamlin plummeted, with every chapter of ACOMAF I read-

I’m not going to go any further into what this book is about, but as I write this review all this time later I can still feel all the feels I was feeling when I first read it.. ALL OF THEM. This book was so beautiful, I find myself at a loss for words.

This book would be nothing if it weren’t for Maas’ skillful writing. It's like she has laced each and every page of this book with [email protected], and now I'm so addicted to it. I loved how she has written about each and every character of this book in so depth.
This book sucks you in and doesn’t release you until the very end. Even then, it doesn’t fully let you go, as the it ends with such an amazing cliff hanger.

A Court of Mist and Fury is dark, seductive, brilliant & an absolute masterpiece. Can't recommend it enough- Go Read It.

Sarah really had the power to make us hate almost every character we loved and she did...although I'm glad for that because it brings up a light to a lot of things that should be discussed more (at least I think so). I loved every little thing about the inner circle and it made me value their friendship so much :) and the character development of Rhys chefs kiss

Idk if anything this book put me through a hell of a ride at this emocional roller coaster and I'm here for it! it reminded me of what I loved so much about books (especially fantasy books) when I was younger... the time i loved reading so much that I would literally eat them up, reading nonstop until finished and sort of threaten my family's wallet every time we passed a library lol

it may not be the best book out there but it has captured a piece of my heart and I will treasure it. it made me laugh, feel love and hatred and sadness... and god I SWEAR sometimes I LAUGHTED MY FUCKING MIND OFF i don't even know why

SpoilerI want to kill Tamlin and Lucien so bad AGH, also Rhys is a baby don't ever touch him, thanks Feyre for FINALLY grabbing a grasp of herself...

A Court of Thorns and Roses delivers the well-worn, somewhat predictable beats and tropes we know and love in fun and exciting ways, hitting the right beat at every twist and turn. By contrast, A Court of Mist and Fury takes a sharp left away from what seems to be shaping up as an equally well-known plot in the early chapters. Maas is incredibly bold as she turns this fairy tale ending on its head in an unexpected journey into social change, personal agency, the many shapes of love, and healing from trauma.

No matter what, the best part of this book is Rhysand and Feyre. Seeing Rhys do everything for Feyre out of his love for her was so sweet and it broke my heart when she didn’t appreciate it. The beauty of this book is really shown through those two. Feyre, learning to heal after what happened in ACOTAR, finds the steadfast support of Rhys jarring at first, but over time she comes to realize that the life she was living before was not her own and decides to take control of her own destiny.

I enjoyed this book immensely and loved the characters. The Inner Circle have this chemistry together that is unparalleled and adds to the enjoyment value even more.

Ok, now onto the only gripe I have about this masterpiece. Which is Feyre. I feel like the 1st person POV that this book is set in really undermines Feyre and limits her potential as a character. All of the Is encourage me, as the reader, to put myself into Feyre’s shoes and pretend to be her while I read and that is ok in some situations, but in others I really don’t like it. Maybe I’m comparing her too much to SJM’s other lead Aelin, who is arguably my favorite character ever, but I feel like so much more expression could have come from Feyre as a character.

Okay, I’m my ACOTSR review I didn’t have the full scope of Tamlin or Rhys: I now completely agree with the general public opinion. Tamlin is just such
Spoiler a gaslighting, controlling bastard!!!  And to think that Feyre would willingly stay with him when he continues to trap her, control her, and smother her until she’s caving in on herself!? Ugh. Such a bastard. <spoiler/> now, Rhysand on the other hand: is such a sweet, damaged baby. When Tamlin failed to recognize that Feyre had severe PTSD from the experience, Rhys did, and he’s the one that took steps to help her heal from that. Tamlin just ignored it, saying that he was dealing with his own shit. Well guess what, Rhys has 50x more trauma from the experience than Tamlin, so he actually understands what Feyre is going to though.
Spoiler And then he wonders why Feyre ends up with Rhys. Smh. <spoiler\>
