I just wish I could live inside the world that Emily Henry builds with each of her books. They’ve grown to mean a lot to me.

Como pode um livro me cativar tanto no início e simplesmente não ter nada acontecendo, nem química entre os personagens??????

I liked this book MORE than ‘The People You Meet on Vacation” but not as much as “Book Lovers.”

Could have been more substantial, even for a beach read. Easy to follow, definitely does make a good beach read.

(2.5*) This book had so much potential, an enemies to lovers type story of two authors who were both in writing slumps that help each other out by swapping genres of writing, but it just didn’t live up to expectations. The characters are lovely and the plot interested me at first, but as I read I found myself being incredibly bored. but I think it just had a weird mix of plot lines to it, half of it was serious, on the topic of writers block and the other part was the romance between the two, but I just don’t think either were balanced right. A good portion of the book is spent on the details of the stores that they are writing and their research, but I was missing the tension between them, the comedy and some obstacles. I just wasn’t interested in hearing about the books they were writing, it started to bore me, like January was writing about some circus culture or something? I found the author slips into a lot of repetition phrasing and it was annoyed at times ‘crooked smile’ etc. You weren’t able to connect to the characters as much because there wasn’t enough time spent on getting to understand the characters and their relationship, which thus made it hard to like or (ship) them together. I just found myself being incredibly bored throughout.
