If you’re a fan of her this is a great way to dive deeper into her words and music (as the title implies.) I took my time with it, one section at a time but have recommended it to many people since starting it.

Enlightening!
Alanis' music was EARLY childhood for me (I'm a mid-eighties baby) so I was fairly young learning and singing her songs. I honestly had NO IDEA what I singing or what any of it meant - like A LOT of songs I was singing in the early nineties. Didn't realize she was Canadian. I'm glad she was true to herself in early adulthood and wrote music she wanted to write (despite the people around her encouraging her to do otherwise). If she didn't I probably wouldn't know her songs now.

This is just a small snippet of her life and her music, but really enjoyable to listen too.

I love Alanis and it's a great short audio book with her songs scattered throughout. It was nice to listen to while working, but the editing gets a little strange. It sounds like she's answering a question, but there's no one but her talking.

Coming out of seeing the musical "Jagged Little Pill" and wanting to dig deeper and know more about Alanis and her music. Listening to this audiobook was eye-opening and I really enjoyed listening to her stories. I also greatly appreciated the unplugged, seemingly private performances of her songs.

A wonderful audiobook. Very authentic and nice to hear her story across the timeline and back story of her music.
