I love Karin Slaughter and the Grant County series so far, this one just felt more all over the place than the previous two, and her other work. Also, Lena needs to catch a break, this poor woman.

If Lena is there then everything is going to be done badly and cause huge problems and cost lives.

This is the third book in Karin Slaughters Grant County series. I am really enjoying seeing the development of Jeffery, Sara and Lena throughout the series whilst being gripped by the many twists and turns these books always have. Another brilliant crime mystery that didn’t disappoint.

Definitely a lot going on but this being the third Slaughter book that I read in a row, the horrific crimes are getting a bit too much. As if there can’t be other crimes beside these horrific ones. Also I’m starting to mix up what happened to which character (from the previous books). Everybody’s sister is getting slaughtered, always in the most gruesome ways possible, a lot of blood HAS to be involved, etc. Every book has a couple of details that make me raise my eyebrows if not roll my eyes and I’m still no fan of most of the characters. But they’re still “easy”/fast reads. So yes, I will definitely continue the series (but I am reading other genres in between lol)
