really enjoyed this collection of Tekahionwake writing. Also appreciated the context for her writing and her life. This collection really explores the writer more than some of the other collections that I have read.

Written over 100 years ago and yet still speaks to issues that are so real today.
great poems about the Canadian outdoors especially canoeing.
one can't help but feel a theme of "the love that dare not speak its name" in some of the poems.
