This was actually a lot more fun than I expected! It started a bit slow with the diary parts but once they kicked off, they kicked off! I really liked the narrative switches, as it left me in enough suspense while still making it clear that we weren’t heading for some sudden cliche save or win.

Although I wasn’t a fan of the journal narrator’s energy, the second half of the book made up for it. The survival aspects, the possibilities, much more endearing than the neurotic narrator at the start.
