This is crossover event felt so pointless by the time I started reading this second half and it kept going like this till the end.

Crossover events, the JLA, time travel and intergalactic battles are some of my least favourite DC things, so credit to Grant Morrison and the other writers for making this an enjoyable, if bonkers, collection. The various writers and artists mean it feels uneven in places, but the story just about holds together.
