It's a thriller and simply put if you like these kinds of books you'll probably enjoy this one.

Venessa is a divorcee stalking her ex's new fiance. Or so it seems...

I devoured the first half of this book--so intrigued by this woman stalking her "replacement" but as soon as the first twist happens, I lost all momentum. The characters were still interesting, particularly our heroine Venessa, but it seems to get so much more predictable. I felt like the second half just didn't get as much effort or creativity.

Overall, I would say this is a good book to bring on vacation.

This book is... a Rollercoaster. The kind that has twists and turns right up til the end. I don't think this is a spoiler so hopefully it's not but: the end means the end, like don't skip the epilogue or you'll miss something.

The best part of this book was that even though I had seen a couple of the twists coming, there were also a couple that took me by surprise. It's a wild ride.

Of all the books in the dysfunctional couple thriller genre, The Wife Between Us is the best that I have read and I am a huge fan of these types of books. The plot is so complex and the storyline threads so interwoven that it is hard to review this book without giving away spoilers but it would be an injustice to not share just how good this book is.
The story revolves around the love triangle. Vanessa, is the ex-wife and she is clearly grieving over the end of her marriage. While reading this book I went back and forth between thinking that Vanessa was expressing the normal stages of grief or was she going insane. Richard is the ex-husband who is described, by the authors, as the “perfect husband.” As the story unfolds, it becomes clear that Richard is not “perfect” but is this due to Vanessa’s mental illness or is he a master of hiding the truth from the outside world. The last member of the love triangle is Emma, she used to be Richard’s administrative assistant, now she is engaged to be his second wife. Emma believes that she has found “her knight in shining armor.” As the wedding day approaches, Emma starts to see some “chinks” in her knight’s armor, which she tries to explain away but Vanessa’s interference is not helping. The only things that are clear throughout this book is that everyone wears a mask and reality is mired in the complexity of the love triangle.
The Wife Between Us is written by two authors who have perfected the art of writing in one voice. The writing is so crisp, clean and wickedly twisted that I have a hard time putting the book down because it is chocked full of unexpected moments. I don’t remember the last time that I have read a book in which all of my assumptions about the plot were wrong. The Wife Between Us is one of the best psychological thrillers that I have ever read and I can’t stop raving about this book. It is heading to the silver screen and I am keeping my fingers crossed in hopes that the cast and crew can capture the magic of this awesome book.
Thanks so much to the publisher and Netgalley for the ARC and the opportunity to review this blockbuster book.

The audio book of this is well done. The tenor of the performers voice fits well with the narrative. An interesting build to the end of each part. The epilogue causes you to go back and re read everything in a new light as well.

I really liked this! I’m usually fairly good at figuring out plot twists, but these (especially the first one) I never saw coming. I finished this book in a day- I couldn’t put it down!

DNF! Made it about 2/3 the way through this book and could not force myself to finish. The twist of Nellie being Vanessa was not good for my reading experience. Also felt that it really lacked some narrative push and in an attempt to be mysterious the book just seemed muddy to me. Did not finish.
